You can find the UK government’s full air travel advice here. Precautions such as bringing your own food and drink on the aircraft, observing social distancing in the airport, wearing a face covering at all times, and limiting movement on the plane is all part of the guidance. Please check the guidance from your own home country if not flying from the UK. As outlined in the guidance at the link, you will not be allowed to travel if you have knowingly been in contact with anyone with COVID-19 in the 2 weeks prior to travel, nor if you are exhibiting any of the major symptoms. We expect all guests to self certify this information, to keep us all safe.
As before, you will be picked up in a private transfer (the vehicle will just be for you and any other guests headed to Azure for the retreat), and the driver will be wearing a mask, as guests will be expected to as well.
For safety, upon arrival you will be given a plastic bag to place your travelling clothes in (this is a precaution) and we suggest you bring a second set of clothes to travel home in.
The retreat is already regularly cleaned with rooms cleaned daily, but communal areas will be sanitized regularly, with sun loungers and the pool area being disinfected AM & PM. We recommend that guests stick to one sun lounger for the duration of their stay.
Hand sanitizer will be provided around the retreat, masks will be provided for when guests leave the retreat. Meals will be provided directly from the kitchen, in accordance with Turkish guidelines, to limit other people coming into contact with food (ie as would happen in a buffet setting). Guests are asked to ensure that their belongings are kept in their rooms and not left around the retreat and at the pool, where possible.
Turkey has opened up public spaces slowly, and with more precautions than the UK and much of Europe. Now, most public spaces are open, and in Mugla (the province Azure is in) everyone is required to wear a mask when in enclosed or semi enclosed public spaces or when travelling in taxis or walking around (for us – when we leave the retreat) – this would mean markets, shops etc. Masks can be removed in bars and restaurants, and we always sit in the open air when we are out, so this should not be a concern. Local businesses are vigilant about sticking to guidelines, as staying open and providing service for tourists is the lifeblood of Turgutreis.
We have confirmed we can still do yoga, and will still be going on a private boat trip but some of our other activities we are still awaiting confirmation on. We are chatting to the team at Azure to ensure we have some great things to do at the retreat to replace any activities we can no longer do.
In the event you cannot travel due to any changes to guidelines / travel issues beyond your control you will be offered the option of deferring to next year (subject to availability) or a refund.
Refund will be issued upon proof of a positive COVID-19 test.
While we will have masks and sanitizer available at the retreat we suggest you bring your own masks as well (you know which ones you prefer and you feel most comfortable wearing) and small bottles of hand sanitizer for when leaving the retreat etc. We also request (as per Turkish guidelines) that guests bring their own water bottles (for refilling with filtered water) and pool towels, as we can no longer provide these.

If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in contact with the team.
